  • 1 piece of SASKO MORE SLICES WHITE BREAD / SASKO LOW GI ALL-IN-ONE WHITE BREAD
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 small / 1 1/2 large Onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp garlic & ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp medium strength curry powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 500 g mince
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp apricot chutney
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 60 ml raisins (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 bay leaves
  • Rice and chutney to serve

  • 8.5 fluid oz. milk
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 small / 1 1/2 large onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp garlic & ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp medium strength curry powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 17.5 oz. mince
  • 1 tbsp tomato Paste
  • 2 tbsp apricot chutney
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2.04 oz. raisins (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 bay leaves
  • Rice and chutney to serve

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C
  2. Pour the milk into a bowl and put the piece of SASKO MORE SLICES WHITE BREAD / SASKO LOW GI ALL-IN-ONE WHITE BREAD
  3. bread into the milk to soak
  4. Put a large saucepan on medium heat
  5. Drizzle in oil and fry the onions until translucent (about 5 mins)
  6. Add the garlic and ginger, salt, sugar and all of the spices and fry for a minute or two
  7. Add the mince and fry until browned (about 5-8mins)
  8. Squeeze excess milk from the SASKO MORE SLICES WHITE BREAD /SASKO LOW GI ALL-IN-ONE WHITE BREAD Keeping left over milk aside for later)
  9. Break apart and add to the mince along with the tomato paste, chutney, vinegar and raisins
  10. Simmer for 15 mins to reduce
  11. Remove from the stove and transfer to a small oven proof dish
  12. Stir together remaining milk and eggs and pour over the mince
  13. Top with Bay leaves and bake in the oven for approx 35 minutes until the topping is set and just browned
  14. Serve with rice and chutney
